$7m Lotto winner plans 'big party'
A young Christchurch woman who won $7 million in Lotto says her uncle also won big just a few months ago.
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought her ticket from Fresh Choice Barrington last week because she was "feeling a little lucky".
"Last year was really rough for me and, with this win, I feel like some good luck and some good karma have now come my way," she said.
"When I checked the ticket and realised I'd won, I started crying and just laughing uncontrollably. I really didn't know what to do."
She said her uncle won $1m with Lotto a few months ago.
"I think everyone else in my family will be buying a Lotto ticket now - waiting for their turn.
"This amount of money is life changing. But I want to try and keep my feet on the ground as much as possible.
"But of course I want to have a big party to celebrate first."
Her total prize was made up of $6m from Powerball First Division and $1m from Lotto First Division. |
